WILLIAMS COFFEE SERVICE REPEAT AS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

It's the  William's Clan again, for at least 12 time the Williams Team are the 2007  League Champions! With a little non-family help and a lot of support from Dad, Ozzie, who sponsored the team, they topped the 16 teams competing this year. Enjoying the 'thumbs-up' evening are l-r Matt Ryan, Tom Williams, Bob Williams, and Ozzie Williams. Team members not present were Henry Garrett, Rob Williams and Chuck Eagan.  In addition to being on the Championship team, the team took home two individual team awards.  Tom, the 2007 WSHPA State Champion, captured four individuals awards including the highest actual score (111), the high 3 game series (302), highest actual average (91.4) and the most individual games won (46) that was shared by Del Wilks.  Ray Arnold, a member of the second place team took three individual honors, Highest Handicap Game (113), Highest handicap 3 game series (321) and the Exceptional Game Award for his 113 point game. Congratulations to all the top winners in 2007 and all the rest that competed to the best of their ability. Next year Jackson County Horseshoe Club will be lead by our current officers. Click on Officers to see who they are. The annual awards banquet was attend by some 90 members and guest enjoying a super meal with all the trimmings! BROOKLYN TIRE TEAM IS RUNNER-UP TEAM FOR 2007

The runners-up team members are Dennis Sayre, Jus Perticone, Don Freese, Ron Miller, Ray Arnold and Nick Sayre with a win score of 282.0.  Ray Arnold,  took three individual honors, Highest Handicap Game (113), Highest handicap 3 game series (321) and the Exceptional Game Award for his 113 point game.

 

FIRST HALF TOP TWO WINNERS WERE:

Bone Island Grille with 152.5 wins topped the list, with Brooklyn Tire in second place with 143 wins. Muffler Man notched third place with
141.5 in the win column.  Winning team members are Pete, Bob, Jas and Bryan Soltis plus Irv. Congrates to both the top three teams as well as all the other 13 teams that made the first half a great effort. We owe Tom Williams a pat on the back for the great job he does in keeping the league
statistics up to date.  Tom spends several hours each week summarizing the results. THANK YOU TOM!
